Ok so, I auditioned for this play for my church. I was so excited, because I usually get a lead, and most of the other girls at auditions weren't very good. I was like, "Oh! I'm gonna get this lead! Or that one!" So I listened to them read off the cast. I clapped and cheered because my friend got the part she wanted! I was so ready for them to call my name on the part I was sure I would get. "And the lead for... (I'm not gonna say who the character is, I'm sorry!) Ella Taylor! (Not her real name!) And I was like, "WHAT??!!!" I waited in despair as I listened for my name. I ended up as an insignificant servant, basically! The lady said, "There are some main leads, and then some smaller leads." Smaller leads my (censored!) Apparently I'm a smaller lead, but all I do is sing like, two lines in a song, and have four speaking parts! Four lines! How is THAT a "lead role!" Well I'm still gonna do it. But honestly, It's unfair. It's not like having the same leads every year is a problem. When I was little, she cast the same girl every time! And casts the same boy for the male lead each year! Oy! Anyway, moral of the story, sometimes you don't get a lead role, and have to deal with it. (Even if the lady who cast it had poor judgement!"
